The Lord has promised to give you the Spirit of adoption if you are walking with Him in holiness from the heart. We consider two things: 

• First, how you can know you have the Spirit of adoption and, 
• Second, what privileges are yours if you have Him.

We are challenged with the following questions: Do you have the Spirit of adoption? Are you putting to death your sins and growing in holiness? Do you sense the Spirit’s work in leading you into the ways that honor God? Does the world see this change in you to the point that you are being persecuted? If so, then be glad, because you are a child of God and an heir of His kingdom. But if not, then call on the Lord to save you, to give you grace to trust in His Son, and to give you these blessings in place of the hell you deserve.
