As we continue our study of Genesis, we see how important it is for God’s people to be set apart from the World.
We look at how God showed Jacob that it was His will for him to return to the land of promise. We apply this to ourselves by seeing that God shows us His will through providence, His Word, and the counsel of others. We also notice that God protects Jacob so that he can obey His will. Finally, we see God’s care for Jacob in making peace between Jacob and Laban.

Shaun has been Pastor at Grace Church in Modesto since late 1993. His journey to the fellowship took him through churches of various persuasions, during which time he became convinced of a call to the ministry and also of a Reformed view of the Scriptures. Shaun completed his studies for the ministry at Westminster Seminary in California. He is married with 3 children.
