This morning we take a look at the Fruits of the Spirit which begin to develop in a Christian through the work of the Holy Spirit as a result of conversion. We learn that they are our responsibility to nurture, grow and develop within us. We see:

  • What these fruits are - working through each one in the list and seeing what is unique about its expression in the believer.
  • That all the fruits are linked and a believer cannot have some but entirely lack others. Also, one fruit in particular is the source of all the others and they in turn resolve into this one fruit.
  • Why it is that there is no law against these fruits.

We are urged to examine ourselves and make sure that we possess these fruits in our lives. If not, it means that we are not true believers and must turn from our sins to the Lord for salvation. If we do possess them, we need to devote ourselves to their growth.
