Some people will not come to Christ because they believe the cost of discipleship is too high and they are unwilling to pay. We see:

  • While the cost may be high, what we are called upon to pay means doing what is right anyway;
  • While the cost may be high, the rewards for paying the cost are infinitely greater;
  • While the cost may be high, the cost of not coming to Christ here and now is far greater, as we must then pay the price for our own sins in an eternal condemnation.

Jesus offers life through the Gospel in this message. We are called upon to trust in Him to save us, to turn from our sins and follow Him - He will forgive all our sins, help us through this life, and bring us into everlasting happiness in heaven. The price may seem high, but it’s absolutely worth it - none who pays this price ever has the slightest regret for having done so.
