We conclude our evaluation of chapter 16 of the Westminster Confession of Faith, ‘Of Good Works’, by answering the following questions:

  • Is anyone able to do more than God requires?
  • Are we able through our good works to earn forgiveness or eternal life?
  • If our best works are so imperfect and cannot pass God’s judgment, then why do them?
  • Can an unbeliever do anything good?
