In this sermon, we are warned against the dangers of being lazy in both our earthly and spiritual walks. Paul shows us that diligence in these areas is another component of the love that we should have towards God in view of all His goodness to us. We examine also the continuums on which we can live in this world, asking where we are on the continuum between love for God and hatred of Him, between laziness and diligence. We ask, if we are enthusiastic, what is the source of that enthusiasm - does it come from God or from something else in this world?

We are encouraged to be zealous for good deeds and to do them for God’s glory alone.
