Desire is what motivates everyone to do what they do. It is not always a Godly force in the world; desire for money and power, and lust after the things of the world, are commonplace. From this passage, we learn about covetousness and the many forms it may take. We look at the things that we should covet according to Scripture as well as those that we should not, under the headings of spiritual and material things. Finally, we see that we should desire God above all things and be content with what He has given us.
