Continuing our series in this chapter of 1 Corinthians, we see that the love Paul speaks of here is a crucial thing. Without it, we are not believers and it does not matter what deeds we do, what thoughts we think or what words we speak - all these things are worthless in God’s sight.

Only as we come to Christ and know this supernatural love, the foremost of the fruits of the Spirit in our lives, can all these other things have any lasting value.

Believers are encouraged to use all the means God has provided so that this love in them will grow. Unbelievers are urged to come to Christ so that they might know this love through the Holy Spirit.
