This evening, continuing to consider Solomon Stoddard’s understanding of those marks that belong to a true believer only, we learn how to recognize true conversion despite the sins which continue to plague the believer. We see:

  • We should not conclude we are unconverted because we sin.
  • However, if we practice any sin, we can know we are unconverted.

As we delve deeply into this subject, we see how deceitful the human heart is, and we understand how critical it is that we learn to distinguish true conversion from counterfeit.
