We now see the results that Peter’s sermon had on the crowd of Jews who gathered after the disciples received the Holy Spirit:

• The Holy Spirit worked in the hearts of those who listened
• Those who heard were convicted of their sins, and were ready to receive the Savior
• Those who were saved went on to demonstrate their true belief through their faithful actions

We must remember that not all those who heard the word of the Spirit were saved, some rejecting it altogether and others not truly accepting it and falling away after a short time.
