We continue to look at the crossing Jesus and His disciples were making. We look at the disciples and then at the Lord and ask the following questions:

• Why did this storm happen at this time and in this place? Was it an accident?
• If God brought about this storm, does that mean He controls all things - even evil?
• How did God intend to bring good out of this apparent evil?
• What was the problem of the disciples?
• What did Jesus demonstrate by stilling the storm?

We apply the teaching of this passage to believers who are undergoing trials in this life - but also to unbelievers who will face the storm of God’s wrath in the Day of Judgment but will have no Christ then to cry out to for salvation. Their need is to cry out to Him now, while He may be found.
