Continuing our series on walking with God, we consider how to walk with God when we are alone. We consider four things:

  • It is better to walk with God in company than to be alone
  • We should not want to be alone more than we need to because then we are particularly vulnerable to Satan’s attacks
  • We should particularly be careful to guard our minds since that is an area in which we are always alone, and
  • The best defense against Satan’s attacks and the best way to please God when we are alone is always to be positively engaged in doing something good and useful in our actions, minds and hearts.

We are reminded that as Christians, we are never really alone, since God is with us in whatever we do. Therefore, we are charged to have the Lord’s spiritual armor on at all times, to be on our guard, and to keep our eyes open for Satan’s attacks.
