In the book of Acts, we have an account of the life of the early church. In these early verses, Luke sets the scene and explains what the book will cover. We learn that:
- The book of Acts is a record of the continuing work of Christ through the Church - a work which continues today.
- It provides instructions for the Church to follow in spreading the Word of God.
- The strength for us to continue this work comes through the Holy Spirit.

Shaun Bryant
Shaun has been Pastor at Grace Church in Modesto since late 1993. His journey to the fellowship took him through churches of various persuasions, during which time he became convinced of a call to the ministry and also of a Reformed view of the Scriptures. Shaun completed his studies for the ministry at Westminster Seminary in California. He is married with 3 children.
