Luke turns from the account of Peter and John before the Sanhedrin and the prayer meeting that followed to give us another encouraging glimpse of the unity, love and peace that the church was enjoying at this time. We see that at this time of revival:

  • God blessed His church with unity.
  • He was making the Apostles’ preaching powerful and effective.
  • His grace was amongst the people, prompting them to share their possessions and meet any needs in their midst.

We derive a great deal of encouragement from this description of the church and are urged to follow their example - seeking for the Holy Spirit to work among us so that our churches might know the same love and unity.
