Paul continues his ministry in Ephesus, first in the synagogue and then in the school of Tyrannus for 2 years. All Asia hears the Gospel as a result. We learn the following lessons from this account and apply them to our situation:

  • We must press forward in our efforts to advance God’s Kingdom and not be discouraged by opposition.
  • When doors of opportunity close in one direction, we should look for others to open so we can continue to spread the Gospel.
  • We should recognize that it is the Lord who brings about changes in our circumstances to give us opportunities to further the Gospel work.
  • As we do God’s will, He will work with us to confirm His message.
