Do we need to be afraid of death? We do if we are not ready for it, but if we are trusting in Jesus, we do not.

We consider two things:

  • First, why we should be afraid of death, if we are not ready, and
  • Second, how Jesus can take this fear away.

Death comes for everyone, and for many without warning. Once it comes for you, it is too late to do anything about your soul, too late to trust in Christ - all that is left is endless, unbearable punishment that grows worse with every passing moment, for the rest of time.

Jesus offers you life now. He commands you to come to Him now. That is what He is telling you through His Word now. He says: “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.” Do you believe this? Are you willing to trust Him now?
