Through this Psalm, written about 1000 years before Christ became a man, we trace His sufferings on the cross and the descriptions of the blessings that would come to His people as a result. We see:

  • How Christ Suffered.
  • How Christ looked to the Father through His suffering to accomplish His will.
  • How Christ is exalted for His suffering.

We are encouraged to be willing to suffer for Christ as He did for us, and to rest on God’s trustworthiness in our afflictions, just as Christ did in His.
