Joseph is enabled to interpret the dreams of two men Pharaoh has thrown into jail. We see how intricately God worked His purposes out, using Joseph’s character and Pharaoh’s servants as a part of His plan to rescue His people. The ultimate aim, as always, is to preserve the line through which Messiah would come.

As we marvel at the way God worked all these things out for His own glory, we are reminded that He has not changed and His purposes to do good for His people and to glorify His name remain the same.
