We look at how to reach others with the Gospel, using the example of the apostle Paul. We consider three things:

  • Paul’s motive: the love he had for God and his desire for His glory.
  • Paul’s strategy: he reached those closest to the truth and then those further away.
  • Paul’s Gospel communication: he found a point of contact from which to move them from their current position and towards the Gospel.

We are reminded that God is a God who may be known and He wants us to make Him known to others. Our passage encourages us to look to Jesus Christ for the love and courage we need to make God known inside and outside the church. If we do, He will empower us so that we might reach out to others.
