We continue to examine the Biblical teaching on marriage and the family by considering what it is that parents should teach their children. We see that the book of Proverbs was written in such a way that it is a valuable source of material in this area.

We also see how the contents of the Ten Commandments, rightly understood, are central to the instruction we should give to our children.

Whilst there are no guarantees that children will be saved through the godly instruction of their parents, God does use means and there can be much less hope of the salvation of children whose believing parents have not been careful to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
