Having considered the responsibilities of husbands, we now turn to wives and see what God says concerning them in the Scripture. We see what is the basis of their relationship to their husbands, and of the submission that wives should have towards them. We also examine what are the Biblical limits to that submission - that a wife should not submit to her husband in anything that is contrary to the will of God. The submission of the wife to the husband should be the same as the submission of the Church to Christ.

We consider a number of Scripture passages in which the behavior of wives is treated and develop a Biblical perspective of this issue.

Finally, we are reminded that husbands are not to lord it over their wives but to nurture and cherish them and to love them as Christ loved the Church and gave His life to save her.
