We examine the covenant God made with all creatures following the Flood. We see that the Covenant of Grace was in place and operative in Adam’s and Noah’s days. The sacrifice Noah made when he left the ark pointed forward to Christ and the work He would do. We see the reason why the world continues today is in order for God’s redemptive purposes in Christ to be carried to completion. Until that time, God has promised in the Covenant of Common Grace to maintain this world and never to judge it again through a catastrophic flood of water. He has established the rainbow as a sign of this covenant.
