This week we see an example of Jesus’ great love for his children as He forgives the sin of a paralyzed man who comes to him in faith. We ask the following questions:

  • Why does Jesus refer to the paralyzed man as His ‘son’?
  • How does Jesus have the authority to forgive sins?
  • How may we know if our sins are forgiven?

We are encouraged to seek to gain assurance that our sins have been forgiven. It is only after we are assured of our right standing with God that we can be fruitful in the work of God’s Kingdom.
