The account of the Syro-Phoenician woman is very instructive to us when we would come before the Lord to seek a blessing from Him. How should we come? What should we do if the blessing isn’t granted at once?

Why was it that Jesus didn’t give this woman what she asked for straight away? Was it because He didn’t want to help her?

We see that Jesus wanted to test the woman’s faith, so that she, the disciples and we may see how strong it was and may be encouraged in our own seeking after God not to give up but to persevere.
