We look at Paul as he introduces himself at the beginning of this letter. First we consider his name and any significance it may have. Then we consider him as the slave of Christ, an apostle and one set apart for the Gospel of God.

We see his special calling to these positions and whilst we understand that there are no more Apostles today, we see that all who are true believers are the slaves of Jesus Christ and share the calling to make the Gospel known to those who are still in darkness. We are challenged to redouble our efforts and to imitate the zeal of Paul in making this wonderful message known.
