In the last of the attributes of Christian love that Paul gives in this passage, we see that love endures all things. We have already seen that love is patient and that love bears all things. We find here that Paul was not repeating himself - rather he had different aspects of love in mind in each case.
This particular attribute of love regards its longevity. It will not be extinguished in the believer, no matter what may confront him or the intensity of opposition from the flesh, the world and the Devil. Jesus will lose none of all that the Father has given to Him.
We are encouraged by the grace of our God, who, having begun a good work in His children, will complete it.
