We look at the account of these two blind men and examine how their faith in Jesus was translated into action, and how Jesus draws out from them an indication of the depth of that faith. We see:

  • The name by which they address Jesus
  • The intensity of their cries
  • The persistence of their approach
  • The attitude of their approach
  • Exactly what they believed concerning Christ
  • That the healing of their physical sight was a picture of what Jesus can do for the spiritually blind. Those without Christ are urged to come to Him for salvation

Finally, we see that in their excitement on receiving their sight, they immediately go and disobey a direct commandment from Christ. Sometimes we can be carried away by zeal and good intentions to do things contrary to the will of God. We should examine our proposed actions in the light of Scripture before we embark.
