This evening, we consider this question: If it is so plain in Scripture that our works are the best evidence that we are saved, then why are there so many theologians and pastors today who deny this and teach that works aren’t necessary? We see that in their zeal for what they believe is right, they actually end up destroying the Gospel.

We underscore that salvation is indeed by grace alone through faith in Jesus, apart from the works of the Law. However, we also emphasize that if saving grace is present, it MUST show itself in a holy life - love to God and to our neighbor, which is obedience to the commandments of God.
