We learn that we can trust God to fulfill his promises even when His providence seems to be going in the opposite direction. If we are His, then He loves us and we love Him because of this. Because God doesn’t change and His love for us never fails, we can trust Him even in the direst situations or the longest of tribulations. We can draw comfort from the certainty that He is working the situation for the good of His people, so we know that no matter what we see, the outcome will be our good and God’s glory.
