Having seen the conversion of the Apostle Paul in previous messages, we pause to consider the great doctrine that underlies that event - the sovereignty of God in the salvation of sinners.

We see:

  • The condition of mankind by nature (which makes him utterly unwilling and unable to be saved)
  • What God did to save people out of that condition (an intervention that is entirely His initiative and not induced by anything in man)
  • Why God set His love on those who were His enemies and gave life to those who were spiritually dead.

The amazing grace of God shines brightly and we are urged to rejoice in His love to us. We are also encouraged to take the Gospel to others, recognizing that God still has those He would save and that we may serve as His instruments in that activity.
