Grace, properly understood, will lead to greater knowledge – a closer relationship with God through Christ. But there is a knowledge that is necessary to bring this relationship about.

This evening, we consider:

  • First, that we are to grow in knowledge.
  • Second, that we are to grow in grace.

We must do what the Spirit of God exhorts us to do through Peter, what Jesus also exhorted Peter to do: We must grow in grace and knowledge; we must set our minds on God’s interests and not man’s.

We are encouraged to grow in grace and knowledge, and exhorted to take advantage of the means the Lord has provided us here to do so.
