We focus on the 400 years of silence between the closing of the Old Testament canon and: first, the appearance of the angels to announce the coming of John the Baptist and Christ; second, the preaching of John the Baptist. We begin by looking at the rise of the Grecian Empire and how the Lord used it to prepare for the coming kingdom of His Son. The Lord used a common language to spread His Gospel throughout the Roman Empire when He first brought His Son into the world; we are encouraged to pray that He will now use the English language in the same way.
