Last week we saw how God called Gideon to liberate the Israelites from the Midianite oppression. This week we see the execution of this call. We see that:
Though many people criticize Gideon for doubting God’s power, he was only doubting his own ability to perform the work God had set for him. God does not rebuke him for this, but deals with him as a tender, loving Father. In all this, we are encouraged to trust God to use us for His glory, in spite of our failings and frailty.
