The leaders of the Jewish church, who claimed to be closest to God, hated God’s Son and wanted to kill Him.

If we are believers, being made like Him in this world, the world will hate us too.

Perhaps one reason we are not hated by the world is that we are not living like Jesus. We are challenged to think through our lives and determine whether Jesus would do the things we allow ourselves to do, whether at work, at home or in the church, and whether He would think the things we allow ourselves to think. We need to seek God’s help to be more like Jesus, and to count it an honor if we are hated by the world as a result.
