The resurrection is central to the message of the Christian Gospel and without it there could be no salvation from sin. We see that the event was attested to by witnesses, by Scripture and by the Holy Spirit, so there can be no doubt it happened and no excuse for unbelief.

We follow Paul’s argument in this chapter and understand that everything Christ did while He was here on earth, including His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension, He did for and in the place of His people.

Unbelievers are urged to come to Christ and trust in His saving work. Believers should rejoice again in sins forgiven and in the accomplished work of which the resurrection speaks.
