Adam and Eve didn’t have to wait long to see the results and the consequences of their sin as they showed themselves in their first children, Cain and Abel. We consider this account carefully and see what was the problem with the offering made by Cain and why God did not accept it. We compare this with the offering Abel made and see how this must have met with requirements that God had laid down. We apply this to our worship today, understanding that we must worship God as He requires and not as we think fit.

We also consider the punishment of Cain and how this fitted his crime - showing us the real horror of the sin of murder.
